We all know just how vitally important trees are. Not only do they provide us with oxygen, they also absorb carbon dioxide, provide us with shade and a rich source of food for wildlife.
At St. Michael's we are so passionate for young children to learn about the importance of trees. We have been using books to help us identify the different trees we have here in the garden and woodland area. The children were fascinated to spot the pine cones dotted around the tree and we learnt how the seeds are dispersed. We made leaf crowns, bracelets, collages and cards.
