Did you hear about the Gruffalo Picnic Party in Kindergarten today? Mrs Gammon served cheese sandwiches, nobbly knees (twiglets) & poisonous warts (grapes) to name a few! The children had a fun picnic inside and enjoyed watching The Gruffalo and The Gruffao's Child on DVD as a special party treat!
Thank you so much to all our families and friends of St. Michael's for all the donations of cakes and your generosity helping us raise money for Children In Need 2019. Thank you also to M&E Alarms for their donation of £46.00 that they raised in their Duck Race in aid of Children in Need. Thank you to Darcey's Mummy for coming into Kindergarten today to do a session about Science. The theme was The Gruffalo and the children were encouraged to follow the footprints around the garden. We talked about our senses and listened really carefully in the garden for wildlife. We look forward to more sessions all about science!
With daylight hours changing, we have had fun making lanterns, looking at light and dark and also making lamps for Diwali, the Festival of Light. Children in Forest School have mixed up their own powder paint and made fire work pictures. many pumpkins have been carved and used for messy and sensory play.
