Forest school

Our nursery has a forest area for fun with nature, offering children, opportunities to achieve and develop confidence through hands-on learning.

The combination of freedom and responsibility is particularly beneficial to children developing self esteem and confidence. Children safely experience activities such as climbing on logs and trees, finding mini beasts, using tools and enjoying camp-fires.  We also venture out of nursery to enhance outdoor learning such as trails along the riverside, at the beach, local woodlands .

Our minibus enables us to travel out and about with the children; we enjoy visiting much of our local beautiful environment; the beach, parks, libraries and theatres, as well as neighbouring schools, shops and farms.
