Kindergarten made Winnie a very large, beautiful Christmas card. Winnie has been a very important part of our nursery for a few years now but this year she has contributed so much towards the children's personal, social & emotional well-being. We discussed all the things we love about Winnie & the things we do to care for her. Winnie paid a visit to the Kindergarten 'bubble' and was delighted to receive her stocking full of yummy crunchy dandelion & hay treat bars! Thank
A massive thank you to everyone who has donated to our Foodbank appeal this term. We are absolutely overwhelmed by the amount of donations and they will be sent off to the Freedom Centre in Barnstaple to be distributed to families in need. We were also touched to hear about a family in Dragonflies who took part in a ‘Reverse Advent Calendar’ this year. Everyday the family put something into a box to help another family in the local area. A massive thank you for your generosit
Wow! What a morning! The whole nursery gathered on the lawn & baby balcony garden to surprise two very special ladies....our fantastic Manager Sarah Sexon & Deputy Manager Emma Hedge. Thank you for all your hard work & dedication to nursery every single day! Then we heard sleigh bells.....Father Christmas arrived to give out lots of presents to the children. All the children waved and cheered with excitment!
Playing in the garden, art and craft, singing Christmas songs and enjoying a delicious Christmas lunch have all been exciting things that the children have enjoyed. We all like playing circle games and songs with Amy. We love stories and singing. Because it's been so dry recently, the children have had tremendous fun collecting the dry, crunchy leave
Kindergarten have some beautiful Nativity Scenes set up in the classrooms and we enjoy the Christmas Story everyday. We love singing 'Little Donkey' so we thought we would paint a gigantic donkey. The children experimented with colour mixing, scooping the powder paints, adding water, adding more paint, noticing changes and dribbling PVA glue into the mixture. In the afternoon we each cut out a tail so we could play 'Stick the Tail on the Donkey.' We think Rachael might hav
It was a glorious day yesterday and the Christmas Cheers from the garden could be heard for miles!. Dragonflies really enjoyed themselves dancing to all the festive favourites including 'Jingle Bells Disco' & a very funky 'We Wish You a Merry Christmas'.
Little Ladybirds spent the morning enjoying the large garden. It's been a lovely start to the day and it's been beautiful all day here. Our youngest children had lots of fun exploring their surroundings and the toys. Crawling, walking, rolling the ball, clapping hands & playing 'peek-a-boo' in the little house were all good games.
We love mess! It's how we explore and learn best through play! Paint, flour, water and chalk was put in a tuff tray for us to mix together and make patterns. Some of us used our hands to squidge it & make patterns with our fingers. Others used tools such as paint brushes and chalks. We have really enjoyed our time in the large garden too. We love the slide, ball games and playing with the cars. Our Christmas tree is up in the room & lots of songs can be heard from downsta
