St. Michael's Day is always a special date in the diary. We continue the traditions of St. Michael's School where we enjoy stories, wear pink and of course eat the pink wafers! Children in Kindergarten enjoy the story of St. Michael and even have a go at renacting the story themselves using the puppets.
We are pleased to say we had 4th prize for our Carnival entry. An enormous Thank You to our families and nursery team who took part...you all looked amazing! Well done to the children who walked the distance and collected so much money for our chosen charity CLIC Sargent. We have some beautiful pictures from the Barnstaple Carnival Facebook page. Thank you to M&R Marquees for loaning us the music system...I think we all love 'Baby Shark'!
After School Club had a real 'patch to pot' experience in the woods last night. The children harvested all the vegetables ready to cook for their tea. We mixed in some delicious Sweet and Sour sauce and enjoyed cooking on our outdoor stove. Our next task is to prepare the ground for our winter planting.
Our allotment has flourished this year so we were delighted to be awarded with a rosette and a certificate at the St. John's Autumn Show! Congratulations to all our little gardeners, you have looked after the vegetables, plants and flowers with love and care.
Kindergarten children went along to see the fairground being set up early Wednesday morning. The children looked around all the rides recognising some familiar characters including Thomas the Tank Engine and The Incredible Hulk. We saw behind the scenes of the travelling community too. Thank you to the Showman's Guild for allowing us to take a peep!
