Hedge's Bakery officially opened last week. Emma Hedge has planned a number of delicious and fun recipes for the children to follow. Often following a topic or a story book, Emma welcomes children these cooking opportunities on a weekly basis. These opportunities are not only fun, but an excellent way promote and develop children's motor skills, builds language, encourages mathematical vocabulary, social skills, positive attitude towards food and healthy eating.
As part of the children's ongoing topic, 'All About Me', the children had immense fun creating Pizzas with faces. This provoked discussions on noticing our features, similarities and differences with our friends, length of hair and eye colour to name a few. The children really enjoyed their first session at Hedge's Bakery and oh if you're wondering...the pizzas were delicious!
