All About Wool
Forest School and Wild Hygge Groups have been learning all about where wool comes from. The children explored the texture, smell & properties of the wool. We talked about how wool keeps the sheep warm in the winter and how the farmer shears the sheep in summer. Many of us were wearing woollen socks and items of clothing. The mini-spinning wheel showed how the wool can be spun into yard and then used to knit with.
