Hearts and Friendship
Our little Ladybirds and Butterflies love to explore the sensory table. They have had great fun pouring the coloured rice using little scoops, great for strengthening those hand muscles, developing hand eye coordination and dexterity. They have also been printing paper hearts using bouncy balls in the paint tray. We just love the effect and they look wonderful in our 'Love and Friendship' display in the Pink Hall.
Dragonflies have been getting messy with the paint and shaving cream. They dipped their paper hearts into the mixture and were delighted to see the marbled effect painted hearts that they had created. Each one different and unique.
Dragonflies were also cooking heart shaped pizza in Hedgehogs Bakery. We just love how they help each other and encourage their friends.
Kindergarten have been blowing bubbles with their handmade heart shaped wands made from pipe cleaners. We just love the bubbly painted hearts.
Many of the children have enjoyed caring for the dolls, dressing them and feeding them in the home corner.
Meanwhile in Forest School, we have been looking closely at Snowdrops and welcoming the sun back as we look forward to Spring. We are half way between Winter Solstice and the Spring Equinox. To celebrate this, we have been making clay candle holders and learning the Makaton sign for 'Spring'.
Our display in the Pink Hall encapsulates the upcoming festivals and notable dates that many will celebrate with the coming of Spring and lighter days.
