We recently blogged about the importance of keeping the Christmas spirit going through into January and we have been looking at plans for the year ahead. The Ladybirds and Butterflies are crafting towards a new display board for the ‘New Year’.
There has been much chatter and excitement with the lead up to the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch next week. Our 0-2 years group really enjoy their elivated position overlooking our large garden and enjoy bird watching. By late afternoon the starlings take over the large Sycamore tree and our youngest children love to point and listen to them.
Dragonflies have been crafting little nests and exploring different size sticks and textures to make their own nest. They have made up songs all about garden birds and made up actions and dances.
Kindergarten have had great fun with the smooth and malleable stretchy play dough. There was also a provocation to bathe the dolls with a bubbly tray of warm water.
Of course we have also been outside building an obstacle course, enjoying the bikes and of course splashing in super muddy puddles!
