Oh arrr! Making treasure maps, playing in the sand pit, floating a pirate boat in the water tray, hand printing craps with orange paint, walking the plank and singing songs were some of the most exciting things we have been playing with at nursery this week.
Clare from Story Bears got everybody up singing and dancing on Monday morning. Of course one of the highlights is chasing the bubbles around the playroom!
Den building is one of the most popular things that Kindergarten children like to make. Inside or outside, they are inventive, creative and express their ideas and try out theories. We made a gigantic den in the playroom and it even had blankets and cushions.
Kindergarten turned their hands at Nordic Braiding in Forest School. Children used their coordination, communication skills and turn taking to dance and spin their wool to make a beautiful cordage. Some children took home friendship bracelets, some chose to turn them into hairbands and some children made tassels and bookmarks.
