Gardening Club Sorts through Seeds

Back in the Spring and Summer, Sarah planted many seeds with the children. Children attending Gardening Club have been looking after these plants throughout the long hot summer and we have recently been repotting them for our garden centre. Thank you so much if you donated for any of these plants.

We have cut our lavender and we are currently making a frame to hang them to dry. Watch this space what we do with them!

For the children in the Kindergarten Gardening Club, they have been busy making little seed packets and helping to count the number of seeds into envelopes. Maths Champion Gaynor organised for the children to take their time counting out the seeds into envelopes. There were discussions on the varying shapes, patterns, weights and textures of the seeds.

Each child received a seed packet to take home to plant next Spring. After all, the best way to celebrate Harvest is to build a community and share.

Thank you for the donations. We have purchased some little tools and child sized gardening gloves.
