Stanley Gets Carried Away!

It's World Recycling Day today and in keeping with this topic, Cheeky Monkey paid the Kindergarten children a visit this afternoon. Our very own ambassador from the Rainforest, was awarded his recycling badge today as the children know so much about the subject. The children are able to sort the packaging into groups of card, plastic, paper, glass, metal, polystyrene and also single use plastic. The children heard about Stanley the plastic bag who caused all kinds of problems when he floated in the sea. Thankfully a little boy retrieved him and turned him into a kite! A lovely age appropriate book where the children loved to guess who they were going to meet next, 'Somebody Swallowed Stanley' by Sarah Roberts.
