We started the week with a Pirate adventure with Clare from Story Bears. Clare arrived dressed as a Pirate and children of all ages were soon joining in with singing, rowing a boat and playing with the giant parachute.
On Wednesday, we welcomed Kim from The Learning Journey. Kim brought in some sunflower seeds and children from Dragonflies and Kindergarten were busy planting their seeds, with plenty of Maths opportunities - "more soil, too much, less, pour out, empty, add water, heavy, light, how many?"
We have been enjoying a packed week with plenty of garden play, den building, painting, soft play, climbing, digging in the sandpit and water play.
On Thursday morning, we wished Evie well as after 6 months of apprenticeship, Evie is venturing into a different field of childcare.
Everyone gathered in the garden for a farewell sing-a-long and we presented Evie with some gifts and a delicious cake baked by Libby. Good luck for the future Evie! We will miss you and your pink hair!
