May Day Musings

May is beautiful month boasting colourful displays of wild flowers, birds busy building their nests, spring cleans and lighter evenings. Our little Ladybirds and Butterflies have been enjoying morning strolls. They have been taking in the glorious colours of the trees, the sounds of the birds and noticing the busy goings on of our local community.

In Forest School the children have been exploring open ended materials including willow, wool and and natural objects. Many of the children decided to make beautiful garlands, hoops and dream catchers. We welcome the longer days and warm sunshine.

Meanwhile in the garden, the children in Dragonflies have had a quacking time washing the yellow rubber ducks in the water tray.

We have loved our picnics, lunch outside, bikes on the lawn, catching bubbles and group games.
