Eid al-Adha Mubarak!

Eid al-Adha Mubarak! Blessings to all our families and friends celebrating one of the most joyous days in the Islamic calendar. We wish you peace to your heart, joy to your home and blessings to your life.

This sacred festival is one that embraces the spirit of joy, gratitude, and compassion. An important reminder of generosity and helping those in need.

One of our core values is to ensure that our nursery has a rich and varied range of resources continuously entwined in within our practice to promote positive global citizenship.  This includes learning about different cultures, traditions and festivals.

To honour of the feast of the celebrations, Hedgehogs Cookery Club cooked up the most delicious vegetable curry and Naan bread.  The children sliced, chopped, mixed and kneaded dough to make the most mouth watering dishes.

Families and communities traditionally come together to celebrate the generosity, compassion and strength that Eid al-Adha represents.  With a view to sharing meaningful traditions together, children were invited to adorn their hands or arms with Mehndi patterns.  Some children chose to use colourful pens on paper and noticed the different patterns and shapes.
