Perfect Pizza!

Emma Hedge's bakery is open again after a little break over half term. 'Hedgehogs Bakery' is an extremely popular part of our week where children from Dragonflies and Kindergarten and invited to visit throughout the term to take part in learning this important life skill.

This week, some children have been making pizza with Emma.

Emma explains that the session went really well and the children were so independent even cutting up their mushrooms and ham into smaller chunks. One little boy noted that Emma had made the dough into a ball and there was a conversation about solids and liquids "so it doesn't fall off."

This was such a rich opportunity to learn about texture, colour, shape, awareness of our senses, turn taking, mathematical language, science and having fun!

Needless to say, they look amazing! They tasted great too!
