Chocolate Mint Playdough

The 'Elephant' group in Kindergarten were given the ingredients flour, oil, salt & water. They measured, mixed, added, poured, stirred, kneaded, divided, squished & counted to make the perfect mixture. The children had the opportunity to develop their cutting skills by carefully selecting a few stems of spearmint. They snipped the leaves and added them to the mixture along with some spoons of hot chocolate powder. It smelt wonderful and the children played with their dough most the morning. We also checked on the compost bin and made sure that the worms were doing a great job in the vegetable patch, creating tunnels of air and eating all the natural debris on top.
