Our Beautiful Hut

We have a beautiful Hut in the garden. Children use this area to explore 'loose parts play' and 'Curiosity Approach'. The Hut is packed with resources designed for children to explore and discover. There is a loose parts tray packed full of natural objects for the children to feel, discuss and relate to within their existing knowledge. There are puppets and books to discuss feelings, emotions and empathy. It is a calming place where children feel safe and secure and comforted. This is based on the Danish concept 'Hygge' where we celebrate all things cosy, calm and appreciate the moment.
