National School Meals Week

13th November was National School Meals Week. Our mealtimes provide opportunity for a happy, social occasion where children practise their independence and skills for life. Our children enjoy planting and harvesting their produce from our allotment for snacks and cooking....here we really do celebrate 'from field to fork'! We are pleased to have supplies from Darts Fresh, Ivan Clarke Butchers, Ilfracombe Food Services and we pride ourselves in providing good quality meals, with many home-made recipes, locally sourced wherever possible and the ability to trace the source of all produce. From baby puree to meals for Year 6 at Holywell School, in a full month upto 2000 meals in total are cooked, so an enormous thank you to Liz and Nicola for keeping our tummies full!
