Forest School was such a fun day - even with a weather warning, we made a forest inside! We enjoyed soup and a story and lots of fun threading beads in the Hygge Hut. The children are really interested in magnets and we embrace 'In the Moment Planning' here so we followed this up using tinker trays, exploring natural and man made objects. The children discovered objects are different textures, colours, shapes and materials. "Look wool is soft."
We would like to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone that contributed to our fundraising for Children in Need. This year, we decided that all funds raised were to be evenly distributed between BBC Children in Need and our own chosen charity CLIC Sargent for Seth's Journey. We were overwhelmed by the donations this year - just over £300! You are all wonderful - Thank you!
The children attending Forest School enjoyed making Spikey the Hedgehog a lovely warm, cosy nest for the Winter. We talked about hibernation and even sang a lullaby to get Spikey to sleep through the winter. We will wake Spikey up in the Springtime when the flowers start to grow and the trees blossom.
A big thank you to all the families that came along to our annual schools event. Many of the local schools accepted our invitation to represent their school so a very big thank you to them. The evening was full of fun and a fantastic opportunity for parents to ask questions to help make that decision!
Thank you so much to all our families, friends and staff for contributing to our annual Christmas Operation for the Samaritans. We were overwhelmed to receive a total of 14 boxes! We are so grateful to you all.
It's National School Meals Week and we are proud to provide homecooked meals and snacks for the children. We source our ingredients from local suppliers including Dart Fresh Produce and Simmonds Fruit and Vegetables.
Thank you so much to all the children, families, friends and staff for contributing to our bake sale. This year we are raising funds for Children in Need and splitting all proceeds with CLIC Sargent as part of our fundraising for Seth's Journey. The children are invited to wear whatever they wish this week.
