Pumpkin Patch Fun

The children have found pumpkins in the allotment and they enjoyed designing and decorating them with pens. The children loved drawing different shapes and we cut them out (with a little help). The children took it in turns to put their hands in to squidge, scoop and sort the seeds.

Operation Christmas Child

Samaritan's Purse Operation Christmas Child is up and running again ready for this Christmas. If you would like to donate, please feel free to collect a leaflet from Pink Hall or visit their website Please ensure that your Shoe Boxes are dropped off to us by 16th November. Thank you for your generosity.

Winnie's Favourite Treat

Even our beautiful pet rabbit, Winnie Butter-Jelly, wasn't left out during Well-being Week. She enjoyed lots of fuss and the children even picked her favourite Dandelion leaves for a snack!

Our Beautiful Hut

We have a beautiful Hut in the garden. Children use this area to explore 'loose parts play' and 'Curiosity Approach'. The Hut is packed with resources designed for children to explore and discover. There is a loose parts tray packed full of natural objects for the children to feel, discuss and relate to within their existing knowledge. There are puppets and books to discuss feelings, emotions and empathy. It is a calming place where children feel safe and secure and comforted. This is based on the Danish concept 'Hygge' where we celebrate all things cosy, calm and appreciate the moment.

Hedgehog Friends

Take a look at these lovable little characters painted by Ladybirds and Butterflies upstairs. The children have made lots of these fabulous painted hedgehogs and they are adorning the display board in the classroom, so please do take a look. Children attending Moo Music enjoyed a session all about hedgehogs and we read the book 'Hedgehugs'.

Early Years Well-being Week

Last week we supported the 'Early Years Well-being Week' initiative. We celebrated well-being in nature by throwing a woodland themed party in Forest School. There's always plenty of dancing and singing to be heard upstairs and sharing a special story. After School Club enjoyed puppet shows on the lawn, learning to knit and even Barnaby the teddy bear surprised one little boy on the school minibus after school! The staff were also looked after with a large hamper full of books, little gifts, delicious snacks and affirmation cards sent to one another.

Celebrating 25 Years of Forest School in the UK

We celebrated in style in our Forest School last Wednesday. The children loved dressing up in fancy dress costumes and playing musical statues! A massive thank you to Emma in the baby room for baking us a fantastic campfire cake. The children enjoyed their refreshments and even used china tea cups!

Happy St. Michael's Day!

A very special day in the St. Michael's Calendar is St. Michael's Day. Children and staff are invited to wear something pink to commemorate the school's uniform and of course we are treated to Pink Wafers in true St. Michael's tradition! Sarah & Katie put on their annual puppet show about St. Michael and the Dragon in the beautiful garden.

All Going on in the Allotment!

We have herbs, strawberries, squash and potatoes ready to harvest and the children are enjoying tending to the vegetable patch. We have grown a gigantic Butternut Squash and we are looking forward to making some Autumnal stews in Forest School soon.
