After School Club have been enjoying the sunshine in the garden. We have been playing team games, football matches, bug hunts, cricket, rugby, stuck in the mud and gardening. Our resident pet rabbit Winnie Butter-Jelly has missed us lots over the summer holidays and is enjoying cuddles and being looked after by the school children.
Alice from Moo Music visits us every Monday morning. Open to all Ladybirds, Butterflies and Dragonflies, the children are invited to play musical instruments, sing along to new songs, learn rhymes and meet puppets. This week we celebrated 'The Fair Comes to Town'.
Many of you will know Seth and his family at St. Michael's and we are pleased to be keeping in touch and hearing just how well Seth is doing each day, we know you are being very brave Seth. Our 'Silly Socks for Seth' fundraising event for CLIC, has been hugely successful at nursery this week so please continue to donate whatever you can. Thank you so much for your generosity.
Have you seen the wonderful sock display in the classroom? The children have enjoyed designing and decorating the most colourful and jazzy socks! The children have had great fun thinking about the characters of the socks and designing them. Many of the children have arrived at nursery wearing odd socks and very colourful!
Dragonflies have decorated the most fantastic sock shaped biscuits using colourful icing sugar and edible decorations. The children had a terrific time decorating the biscuits and we love the St. Michael's colours too!
We have had a very funny week wearing silly socks in order to raise money for Seth's Just Giving Page. Ladybirds and Butterflies have decorated socks using stickers, googly eyes, coloured paper & sequins. The babies have been wearing odd socks, jazzy socks & colourful socks.
Throughout the summer we said farewell to our Kindergarten children as they left nursery ready to prepare for their new Primary School. We were overwhelmed by the beautiful cards, drawings, paintings, posters, gifts, cakes and flowers. We love the fact that one little girl painted her nails the St. Michael's colours on her fingers and the traditional pink and grey St. Michael's colours on her toes! Thank you all so much, we really appreciate your kind gifts and delicious cak
