Thank you to Holywell Primary School in Tawstock for inviting us to enjoy stories in their woodland 'Hollow'. We had lunch in the hall with the school children which was a very valuable experience for our older children. During the afternoon, we enjoyed a stroll through Tawstock Woods.
Kindergarten have had so much fun celebrating Den Day today in aid of Save the Children. They built dens in the garden and enjoyed a paper bag lunch in them! A big thank you to Liz for the yummy hot dogs!
Amy from Streetz is leading a fantastic all singing, all dancing session in the garden right now. We can hear the giggles and laughter from the office! We are all outside this morning enjoying our garden.
We are all enjoying activities in the garden. We have Rhyme Challenge going on with Wendy from The Children's Centre, Tarka Tennis coach Lucy is teaching those children signed up for tennis lessons, Kindergarten have art tables set up, pasta play and water play in their courtyard. Dragonflies are having fun climbing on the climbing frame, splashing in the water tray and quiet puzzles in the shade.
Our little Ladybirds & Butterflies had tremendous fun in Mini-Forest School on Friday. The children explored the sensory delights of orange scented play dough and adding a mixture of fruit and herbs to a tub. This invited the children to explore colours, textures, smells and shapes of the fruit and herbs in an inviting and exciting activity.
Last week, children attending Forest School started making our scarecrow. With a little help from after school club, we would now like to introduce 'Jack'.
Dragonflies have been busy watering the vegetables this afternoon and digging up the weeds. 🌿🍓🥕🍅🌽
Thank you to Wendy and her team at Sticklepath Children's Centre for visiting us. We have really enjoyed taking part in the Rhyme Challenge this morning and those children who are eligible will take home their Bookstart packs today. All children that took part will receive a certificate. Well done!
